We are a steward of over 100,000 historical photographic images and documents representing the Greater Plant City Area, East Hillsborough, and West Central Florida while providing the public with open access to our collections and research resources.
The Plant City Photo Archive houses a collection of over 100,000 historical photographs, negatives, and documents that reflect the history of our region. Our archive of original and digitized materials is available for the public to access freely.
The Dr. Scotty and Hsiu Huang History Center is our onsite research library. When visiting, one can find texts on a broad range of historical topics, including reference material like encyclopedias, biographies of local heroes, and an accumulated history detailing the impact of the railroad on Plant City.
Whether you are a student, a researcher, a curious citizen, or visiting the area, you will discover something fascinating that you did not know.
We create engaging and informational programs. Through exhibits, the Junior Archivist Club, and community events, we invite discussion while promoting our enthusiasm for Plant City history.
We’ll post events as they are finalized; please check the calendar for upcoming programming.
